Winter at The Lake of the Ozarks

Lake of the Ozarks Sunset

“What do you do in the winter?” — at The Lake of the Ozarks?

We hear that question often.

On a Saturday in January, an “orange-dot day” with temperature of 45F, provided a perfectly warm boat ride in the TriToon with it’s full, clear enclosure. Flip-flops, shorts, and a tee-shirt was all that was needed for a 4 hour January boat ride. The fishermen, in fishing tournaments, that we see every weekend in their bass boats did not look nearly as warm as us.

Topping off the weekend, was a fantastic winter sunset at Shawnee Bluff Winery. Great food, wine and a surprise drop-in by guitar artist Tim Newell (from the band, Spontaneous) provided another fantastic day at the Lake of the Ozarks.

Indeed there are great happenings all year around!
